I once disposed of a cheap bicycle in similar fashion. I didn’t have the power tools, but it wasn’t too hard to hacksaw the thin tubing in the frame.
I am in the same situation for my son’s old bike. It’s not in a condition for Goodwill, and I do have a hacksaw. Hmm…
