I played Overwatch a few times back when my daughter was really into it, but I don’t know anything about the backstory of any of the characters. Regardless, I thought this was a really well-done short movie. I have a soft spot for “silent” stories—anyone in the world can watch it and understand it, regardless of language. Even if you’re, say, a aboriginal tribesman with no concept of modern technology, you’d still understand sleeping and waking, animals, (primitive) armed conflict and buildings, and you might even pick up what’s going on when Bastion reads the battle data from the felled robot.

I recall seeing that clip before. Well done, and I have almost no idea what Overwatch is about.
I just bought a graphic novel anthology of the character backstories…the first volume at least. Looks interesting.
